INTERLIBRARY LOANS

RAILS (Reaching Across Illinois Library System
The Eureka Public Library participates in the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS), which allows patrons to borrow items from over 1,300 academic, public, school, and special library agencies in northern and west-central Illinois. If you are not able to find something at the Eureka Public Library, you can search other libraries several different ways:
  • Visit any of the participating RAILS libraries in person and present your library card to check out items. A database of participating libraries can be found here: https://www.railslibraries.info/membership/member-directory
  • Search through our online RSAcat catalog system, which shows the holdings at all participating RAILS libraries. Log in with your library card and PIN number, and you can place a hold (i.e., interlibrary loan request) for any available title. The item will be shipped to Eureka and we will call you when it arrives.
