Yahoos Summer Schedule 2013 A sure-fire boredom buster!
Youth just finishing 4th through 8th grades are invited to have lots of fun at the library this summer. The Yahoos! Summer Program will be held on Tuesday mornings from June 11th through July 17th. There will be a small snack, activities, and programs. Space is limited; register by contacting Joanna at epldyahoogroup@gmail.com or by calling the library at 309-467-2922.
We also have several special programs and events geared for our middle school tweens!
Monday, June 3rd, 6:00—7:30 pm, Fingernail Art Teenagers and adults can learn different fingernail art techniques for summer-fun fingers and toes at the Eureka Public Library. Class fee is $2, and registration is required. Stop by the library to register, pay, and pick up a supply list by Thursday, May 30th. For more information, call the library at 309-467-2922.
Thursday, June 13th, 5:00—7:00 pm, Lego Create Night Do your kids love to play with Legos? Stop by the library anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. and let their imagination run wild! Youth, second grade and up, are invited to create a Lego “art” object that will be put on display at the library. An adult must accompany second and third grade youth. Tuesday, June 18th, 3:40—5:00 pm, Tween Cardmaking Does your tween enjoy making cards, scrapbooking, or craft projects? The Eureka Public Library offers a Tween Cardmaking class on the third Tuesday of each month. Instructor Debbie Smith teaches participants different paper decoration techniques.
